Experimental Zone / Side Quests
Welcome to my tinkering space — a glimpse into my journey, side projects, and the stack I enjoy breaking and rebuilding. This section is about experiments, learning curves, and building tools that (hopefully) make someone's life easier.
Where It All Began
My first exposure to code was back in 2001-2002, using BASIC, quickly followed by my first real taste of programming with Borland C++ (yes, that blue screen!).
By 2006, I founded my first software venture —
Cubosoft, where I built
Admain, a system for schools to manage notifications, homework, and other academic workflows. Admain was powered by LAMP/WAMP stacks, and I maintained it until 2008. Unfortunately, I lost the source code and eventually took the site offline — but the lessons stayed.
From Modules to Platforms
In 2008, I started a new side quest —
Bware. This was a modular, plug-and-play platform built on LAMP/WAMP, refined between 2013-2015. One of our first adopters was
NAPA, who still runs a version of the application.
Core features developed for Bware included:
- Client & Product Management
- Purchase Orders (with intelligent autofill)
- PDF Generation & Direct Email Integration

Current Side Quest
ACKts (ACK Technology Services)
is my latest venture, where I'm personally developing a modern, multi-module platform designed with flexibility in mind. The stack is engineered for both local and cloud-first deployments.
Core features:
- Single-binary distribution (built with Go)
- Supports SQLite & PostgreSQL
- Object storage via S3-compatible APIs or local file system
- Authentication and User/Role Authorization
- Notifications via email & phone (push)
- UI Web Component Architecture
- PWA/MPA front-end
The goal? Use it locally with zero dependencies, or scale it in the cloud with robust infrastructure.
Also contibuting in some ideas/architecture/dev with the consultancy groups: Chingobit.

Why I Do This
These projects started as experiments but evolved into production tools. I build them not just to solve problems — but to learn, iterate, and sometimes, to fail gracefully. The “Experimental Zone” is where I test boundaries and sometimes invent new ones.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I upgrade from Coffee Chat to a larger tier later?
Absolutely — If we click in the Coffee Chat, you can apply that fee towards a higher-tier service within 30 days. What's the difference between Consultant and Contributor tiers?
The Consultant tier is hourly and project-based — perfect for short-term needs or strategic input. The Contributor tier is a long-term contract where I integrate with your team for 30-40 hours per week. Do you work only in a specific tech stacks?
No — But my strongest points are in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Golang, SQL DBs, Linux, Docker, Clouds (Oracle, Hetzner, Google, AWS), AI among others, If you're unsure, we can talk it through in a Coffee Chat. Do you sign NDAs or contracts?
Yes — For any tier above Coffee Chat, I'm happy to review and sign reasonable contracts or NDAs. Will you take on any project?
Not all — I carefully evaluate projects for potential conflicts, existing contracts, or prior NDAs. If there's any overlap or ethical concern, I'll respectfully decline. Do you take Consultant calls during work hours?
No — I only take Consultant calls outside standard working hours (evenings or weekends). I'll always propose available slots when you reach out. What timezones do you work in?
I'm at Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, but I'm flexible and have experience collaborating across time zones. How soon can you start?
It depends on the tier and my current schedule. Coffee Chat and Consultant slots usually open faster; Contributor and above may require time. Is 'The Wizard Retainer' collaboration tier real?
Kind of! It's part joke, part serious — one client, one forever deal. If you're building something big and long-term that I like, let's talk.
I'm here to help. If you have questions, ideas, or just want to talk, feel free to reach out. You can also follow me on social media. Thanks for stopping by — hope we get to build something together soon.
